Dancing

In response to watching Matt dance and reading his article.

This clip of a man dancing in different part of the world is really cool. It’s like he is trying to send of burst of energy in different countries of the world. There is no better way than sending bursts of happiness than dancing. This is because dancing is often done when happy and everyone can understand the same dances whatever language they speak. Matt also does a stupid dance which is comical and makes you laugh. A comical dance also makes more people join in the burst of happiness because it isn’t hard to do and any age can do it. The same goes for me, if I am walking to get lunch and someone is doing a stupid dance on purpose I am more likely to join than if it was a dance with many steps and confusing twists and twirls.
Another thing I noticed from the movie was that in the first countries he was dancing on but as he went from country to country more people joined the man’s dance. Kuwait is the first one where someone dances with him. He dances with a dog. This shows that dogs understand the joyful language of dancing.
I think his essay is very interesting and how he talks about how a brain is made for a tribe but ends up in a world of 6 billion and can meet any of them at any time. This is as Matt said overwhelming. Only a century ago you couldn’t get a plain to take you across the globe in less than a day! To stand against this threat of 6 billion people who are all different a dance can show you everyone is a human and have the same basic needs.
After watching this and reading the essay the thing I want most of all would be that all politicians would start to dance together and put aside their differences.I chose this picture because to me it represents the worlds people of diffrent color and language using one unified language, dance.
I got this picture from...

Compliment boys

What theese to boys are doing seem like a great thing to do. I agree with them, everybody is gloomy theese days and it would be great to have someone to cheer you up. The boys have done something that not many would do, take 2 hours out of there day and compliment everyone who walks past. Like they said everyone has something good about them

I can't remember last time someone complimented me. It was probably some thing where the teacher tells each student to compliment 3 other people. This is kind of bad I think that there are so little compliments are going around. Everyone should get at least one compliment daily. Of course I can't complain myself if I don't compliment people so I could start compliment people if I think they did something good or is wearing something cool or said something nice. If I did this I could make people feel better and get more compliments back.

What really shocked me from the article was that people thought it was a joke or gave them a finger. This shows that people are unused to compliment which is a scary thought really. And if someone tries to be nice and compliments you you shouldn't be negative back because that makes you and them feel bad.
This is the picture i chos because when I get a compliment I feel like I am the only one in the whole world. This picture has a single person with a giant head which highlights it's importance, just like the feeling from a compliment.

Name reflection

My name means bean. Nothing shocking or spectacular. It shows my plain side. The side that listens to everyone and never says no. I like it though. It might mean something plain or boring but if you listen to how it sounds it sounds like the CEO of some company, or the guy who owns Google. It sounds like someone who is successful. My middle name means bear. Totally different from a bean. A bear is a predator, king of the northern forests. A killer. What does that have to do with a boring bean? I don’t know but I do know that the bear shows my other side, the side that comes out when I get exited, happy or angry. Put the cautious bean and wild bear together you get me. A boy of two personalities. When you meet me you might see me as a plain bean that doesn’t affect anyone’s future. You might see me as a loser. But if you get to know me, you will notice how the plain bean and the wild bear, two personalities that blend together to become a perfect mix creating a boy who can be crazy and annoying but when the time comes will calm down and get cautious when stuff go too far. That’s why when it comes to liking my name or not I like it I would say “A perfect mix which fits me great.”

I chose this picture because in the writing I talk about how at first i might seem plain and boring but if you talk to me long enough you can fing the other side of me. If you search the picture you will find a face which is my hidden part waiting to explode when you find it and become my middle name. Happy, Exited, Angry!

my qoute

I decided to name my blog “The longest journey of any person is the journey inward” which is a quate by Dag Hammarskjold a swedish diplomat and secretary-general of the united nations.

My interpretation of this qoute was that to be abe to know youreself and who you are and at the same time be able to be truthfull to yourself is the hardest thing to do. I agree with this qoute a lot because I find it hard sometimes to judge myself and tell myself that what i have done is hard. Another reason is because people can have a hard time exepting who they are. To be able to say your rights and wrong is inportant and requires a person to sit and think or take a journey in and evaluate what they have done. In my book project book called See how they run by David McRobbie the protagonist, Emma spends time evaluating what she has done and taking a journey inward.

The picture above shows a compass pointing towards the person holding it and is pointing inwards, the most important journey everyone needs to make. I thougt it was a cool image that matched the qoute perfectly.

Fish bowl (The Giver)

In todays fishbowl we did it kind of diifrently and it worked out well. We had to discuss what stirrings and realeasing where. We started with the stirrings and everybody seemed to agree that it had something to do with adolesance. I myself thought it was the first sign of adolecence in the real world and in Jonas's comunity. They wanted to stop adolecence because that is when the person develops and starts to thinking for themselves and wanting to make more choices. This would cause disruption in the community becauase they are trying to be as safe as possible and it wouldnt work if a bunch of teenagers did whatever they wanted.

For the realeasing everyone had diffrent opinions and tried to argue there point. I admit that i read ahead and know what really happens in the releasing room. therfor i decided to use my first thoughts on realeasing (Before i knew the truth). My first thoughts where that they got sent out to live in the real world like us. But as the disscussion went on Mitsu said that she thought they where taken care of in the room and evntually died of old age. This made more sence to me because the elders didn't want the community to experience death.

Octomom....One child policy?

In class today we discussed wether people should be able to have 14 children or only 1 child. I was in a little bit closer to the 1 child policy because...
Some people dont seem to have the ability to understand that 14 is enough,
People dont have enough resources to take care of 14 children,
Some kids will feel left out (happens with 4 kids sometimes),
The house will need to be humoungous,
The dad or/and mom will have a very, very hard time balancing work and children,
The parents will haveto take care of 14 children who all have diffrent needs.
This makes me sound like i am totally for the 1 child policy. Actually im think that every person should be able to choose how amny kids they want. But this interferes with resources. If a country that doesnt have enough resources to take care of there population and the population gets bigger and bigger and bigger a lot of people will be homeless. To stop the popullation they need the one child policy to save the people and country. Thats why i am leaning towards the one child policy.
My conclusion is that the rule depends on the countries population and resources.

14 children, goverment laws or not?

Today in class we talked about how many kids some couples get. Some people have had up to 14 kids! 14 kids is a lot of money that goes to them and the parents dont have enough money to take care of all of them. Usually they will go on tv shows and show all there children for money which i dont think is a good thing for the children. The question we discussed in class was if the goverment should make a law on how many children people should be able to have. we connected this to the China policy because it was against human rights to say that a person can have this many hildren but without it a family would have big financial problems because of all the kids. I myself think that the goverment shouldnt say the exact emount of children but say that they will only help the first 6 children with school and those kind of stuff.

Sonnet 7 a remix of my first esay

Sorry im doing this kinda late i had to go to the picture thingy and listen to my own voice singing the merapoh tahan song (text change of Your buetifull).

After today I noticed that with a little push of the music people i thought of something else. The sonnet represents a bunch of stuff, the ones that we thought of in class where, the city tempo, A humans life and death, The suns movement across the sky and an iskl student waking up as a tired guy, then getting busy at school and at night going to bed.

That is the only direction my thinking evolved.

Sonnet7, a sun?

I Think that the poem is about the sun and how it moves across the sky. I think theese things because...
1.The burning head could be the sun because the sun is a burninf ball and a head is a burining ball.
2. The first line could mean " Low! in the morning Light' and the sun comes up from the horizon.
3. Climbing up the heavinly hill could be the sky because the sun moves upward in an arch.
4. The sun is it's strongest by the time it reaches the top of the arch which is the middle of its day. line 6 could be a metafor for that.
5. He look another way at the end could describe the end of the day when the sun goes away.

The son part at the end im not so shore about but it could be the moon because the moon is not as bright as the sun so it is kind of its son, or it could be an extra line couse he needed to follow the sonnet rules.
Another reason for me to believe that it's the sun is that you said that the poem related to ancient Egypt and the Egyptians worshiped the sun just like William Shakespeare is doing in his sonnet.

I see mesopatamia...

In class today we did i see, i think, i wonder. It was hard for me to say i see red lines because i wanted to skip that part. My group decided to fade the ancient map and the google map half way so we could compare ancient world nations and cities to the modern day nations and cities. We saw that some cities didn't seem to change at all while some cities changed names and some just dissapeared. we also noticed that new cities popped up everywhere. My group also noticed that all cities modern and ancient where in a green part of the map. The green part was always close to water. I know that water makes vegetation grow so inferred that the green areas where vegetation. If all cities where near water and grass and trees and fruit there must be something special about this area. I thought back to the basic needs humans have. Food and water. This tells me that all cities where buillt near sources of food and water. Thats why theese cities still stand today, because humans had no problems living there. For countries i noticed that some ancient civilizations where in the same place as modern countries. This makes me thisnk that some countries changed over times because of conflict and other reasons but some ended up in about the same place. This is what my group basicly talked about.
